2004 Christmas Walk and Parade a huge success

Morrison enjoyed its largest Christmas Walk and Parade ever with over 40 entries in the annual event sponsored by the Morrison Chamber of Commerce. There were over 25 window displays, which were categorized in three areas: Best Christmas Scene, Best Decorated Tree and Best Live Display. The parade, which included walking units of adults and children, new cars, antique cars, trucks, amazing floats, horse drawn wagons, a goat and even a marching kazoo band were exhibited for spectators along Main Street.

First Place for Best Live Window Display was Russell Holesinger Attorney. First Place for Best Decorated Tree was Fitzgerald's Drug Store. First Place for Best Christmas Scene was Edward Jones Investments.

Parade Winners included: Best of Show - Winning Wheels float; First place - Effective Networking; 2nd place - Fitzgerald's Drug Store; and 3rd place was LeAnn's Dance Connection.

The evening was presided over by the Host and Hostess Mr. and Mrs. Richard Groharing. The Morrison Chamber of Commerce wishes to thank each and every parade and window entrant for their participation and wishes all who enjoyed the event a very happy holiday season.
