Historical Society Remembers WWII Veterans |
|
| On June 6, Morrison's Heritage Museum was packed with guests who came to listen to five veterans share their memories of World War II. All the chairs were filled, and there were many people standing among the display items. The presenters included Al Benedict, Bill Bull, Mr. and Mrs. Burdette Burch, and Irv Workman. Community members have indicated they would enjoy a repeat program. Others stated they regret being unable to attend this event. So, in recognition of Veterans Day, the Historical Society will show the videotape that was filmed by Robert Van Osdol during the veterans' presentations. It will be run on a big-screen TV at the museum, Sunday, November 14, beginning at 1:30. by Stephanie A. Vavra, Guest Columnist |
