Morrison Police Department News Release 9-27-04

On 09-23-04, at approximately 1:19 pm, Morrison Police cited Rachel M. Tucker, 23, Morrison, for driving while license suspended. Tucker was charged after she was stopped at the intersection of High and Genesee Street for failure to wear a seat belt. Tucker was released on a notice to appear in court. Tucker is considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

On 09-25-04, at approximately 8:34 pm, Morrison Police cited Dustin J. McKeag, 21, Osco, Illinois, for driving while license suspended. McKeag was charged after he was stopped for disobeying a railroad signal on Cherry Street. McKeag was released on a notice to appear in court. McKeag is considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

On 09-26-04, at approximately 2:10 am, Morrison Police responded to a report of several juveniles riding golf carts at Sunset Woods Golf Course.Two juveniles were apprehended at the golf course. Police are continuing the investigation of this incident, and charges are pending. The incident is also being investigated by the Whiteside County Sheriff's Office since damage was done to property outside of the city limits in connection with this case.
