| What 4-H Means to Me
By: Karl Miller Leon Stickers, Age 14 Prophetstown, IL What 4-H has meant to me. 4-H to me is not only a way to show my animals, it is also an opportunity to meet more people and make new friends. The five years that I have been in 4-H I enjoy each year more and more. Every year it seems that I have improved in all of my projects. If it were not for the help of 4-H and other 4-H members I would not have gotten as far as I am today. Now I am doing speeches every year and this year I started a new project area. 4-H has taught me many other things besides the projects. It has taught me respect, responsibility, and many other things about each one of my project areas. 4-H has helped me decide on my lifetime career. I have decided to become a veterinarian because I have realized how much fun it is to learn about animals and I only learned this through 4-H. 4-H is not only a big part of my life it is also a big part of my family’s life too. To them 4-H was a way to explore the world and try new things. My two sisters Kim and Kari both went to agricultural college because 4-H got them interested in that aspect. 4-H means so much to my family! I will never forget how it has helped us to succeed with the things we want to do. by Editor, theCity1.com |
