Praise in the Parking Lot |
|
Morrison United Methodist Church, 200 W. Lincolnway, Morrison, will be holding a “Praise In The Parking Lot” on September 11, 2004 from 4-8 p.m. They invite the public to bring lawns chairs and enjoy an evening of worship and praise. The event will include praise and worship, local and out-of-town live bands, local artists and multi-media praise. Listen to Open Bible Fellowship Praise Band as their 10+ members play a variety of praise songs. Sing along with Spring Valley Praise Band while their six band members and 10 singers perform contemporary and country worship songs. Catch the spirit of "180 Ministry", a group of 10 college students from the South Chicago Suburban Korean Methodist Church giving their rendition of contemporary praise and worship music. Get in the special blend of bluegrass-gospel provided by solo guitarist Ed Pruis. Come for the entire event or just part. There will be a food stand available. Admission to the event is free. Donations will be accepted. In case of inclement weather, artists will perform in the church sanctuary and the food will be available in the fellowship hall. Members of the Presbyterian Church will be on hand selling patriotic items (bracelets, flags, suckers, etc.). Proceeds will go towards their youth ministry. The evening will conclude with a powerful candlelight memorial for 9-11 based upon Don Moen's "I Will Sing". by Dawn Zuidema, theCity1.com |
