Benefit held for Hannah Pettit |
|
Hannah Pettit, nine-year-old daughter of Jeff Pettit and Eileen (Klount, formerly of Morrison) Pettit, has been diagnosed with osteosarcoma, the most common type of bone cancer in children and adolescents. Hannah’s cancer is being treated with chemotherapy and surgery. During the months of July and August, Hannah will have received six chemotherapy treatments in Iowa City and is expected to undergo 12 more. She is expected to have surgery on September 7, 2004. Since the Pettit’s schedule is filled these first few months with treatments and surgery, a silent benefit fundraiser is being held. Hannah also loves to receive cards and letters in the mail and prayers are highly requested. Cards and letters can be sent to Hannah Pettit, 25818 – 108 Ave. N., Port Byron, IL 61275. Donations for Hannah to help relieve some of the financial burdens on the family would be a tremendous help. Donation checks should be made out to Hannah Pettit Benefit Fund and can be mailed to: Patti McCormick, 8022 – 256 St. North, Port Byron, IL 61275. by Dawn Zuidema, theCity1.com |
