Armed Robbery at Movie Magic

Morrison Police are investigation the armed robbery of Movie Magic video rentals, 633 East Lincolnway. The robbery occurred on the evening of August 19, at approximately 10:45 p.m. A male white wearing a ski mask brandished a silver handgun and demanded money from the clerk. A customer in the store was also robbed of cash during the robbery. The gunman then ordered the clerk and the customer into a storage room. The gunman then fled the store, on foot, through a rear door.

The gunman is described as a male white, 6’2” to 6’4”, slender build, light brown hair, wearing a hooded shirt and sunglasses. The Morrison Police Department is asking that anyone with information regarding this armed robbery to call Whiteside County Crimestoppers at 815-625-7867 or the Morrison Police Department at 815-772-7659.

Morrison Police were assisted at the scene by the Whiteside County Sheriff’s Office and Illinois State Police, Division of Crime Scene Services.
