Girl Scouts would like to thank all the runners and walkers for participating in our event. All of the funds raised, stay in and support Girl Scouts in Green Hills Council. Girl Scouts uses the funds to provide financial assistance for girls to attend events and camp. Funds are also used to provide leaders and volunteers with resources, such as books and videos, and training opportunities. The Girl Scout 5K Spirit Run is an annual event and will be held next year on July 9.

Katie Olszewski stated, "Our goal of the Spirit Run was to raise awareness and funds for Girl Scouts. We wanted an activity that the community and families could participate in to help us reach our goal and be fun and recreational at the same time. For a first time event, we were happy with the turnout and outcome, but hope to really have it grow over the years. We really enjoyed our partnership with MorrisonFest and look forward to being a part of it next year!"
