Morrison Police Report 7-19

On 07-12-04, at approximately 3:07 p.m. Morrison Police investigated a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Genesee and Market Streets. An eastbound car, driven by Kathy L. Stull, 44, Morrison, was struck by a northbound SUV, driven by Michelle A. Porter, 22, Glenview, IL. There were no injuries as a result of the collision. Total damages to both vehicles exceeded $500. Stull was cited for failure to yield at a stop intersection. Stull is considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

On 07-16-04, at approximately 3:47 p.m., Morrison Police investigated a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of West Lincolnway and Milnes Drive. A truck driven by Jeffrey F. Baker, 36, Davenport, IA, was stopped to make a left turn. A car, driven by Ryan L. Scott, 16, Morrison, struck the rear of the Baker truck. Baker received minor injuries but declined medical treatment at the scene. Total damages to both vehicles exceeded $500. There were no citations issued.

On 07-16-04, at approximately 5:47 p.m., Morrison Police investigated a three-vehicle, chain-reaction accident at the intersection of East Lincolnway and Jackson Streets. An eastbound truck, driven by Donald W. Schaver, Jr., 45, Morrison, was stopped behind an eastbound van driven by Brenda D. Vishanott, 31, West Chicago, IL. The Vishanott van was making a left turn. An eastbound van, driven by Chad D. Peppers, 33, Rock Falls, struck the rear of the Schaver vehicle. The impact of that collision pushed the Schaver vehicle into the rear of the Vishanott vehicle.

Peppers, and a passenger in Peppers’ van, Tammy Peppers, 45, Rock Falls, were injured and subsequently transported to Morrison Hospital by Morrison Ambulance. There were no other reported injuries. The total damages to all vehicles exceeded $500. There were no citations issued. During the investigation of the accident, the police determined that Chad Peppers had a seizure just prior to the collision.
