Fire hydrants to be painted for Sesquicentennial

On Friday, June 25, 2004 Steve Wilkins of Spahn and Rose Lumber Company presented to Jennifer Parker of the Morrison Sesquicentennial Committee a donation of paint which will be used for the decorating of downtown fire hydrants with a sesquicentennial theme.

Spahn and Rose is one of the first local businesses to step forward and participate in early actiivities for the 150th Morrison birthday party. The Sesquicentennial Committee will have it's first public display of retail items for purchase along with a calendar of events at Morrisonfest 2004 being held at the Fairgrounds Saturday July 17.
