Resthave Auxiliary holds Ice Cream Social


Friends and relatives join residents for the ice cream social.


The Anderson family from Clinton, IA entertained those present with their bluegrass style music.

Resthave Nursing and Retirement Home auxiliary held their annual ice cream social on the front lawn of the home on Thursday evening June 17, 2004.

A large crowd of residents, family members and friends gathered for an enjoyable evening of food and entertainment.

Those choosing to eat had their choice of barbeque or hotdog, baked beans, potato chips, cake or pie, ice cream and drink.

The Anderson family from Clinton, IA entertained guests with their versions of spiritual blue grass music. They consist of husband and father, Mike, who plays the stand up bass; his wife Debbie plays the fiddle; daughter, Celeste plays the acoustic guitar; and younger daughter Angela plays the mandolin.

Winners of the two free buckets of Resthave’s soft serve ice cream drawing were Jean Kraft and Esther Tichler.

The ice cream social is one of the projects the Resthave Auxiliary heads to help raise funds for items for the home.
