Morrison Police Report 06-14

On 06/09/04, at approximately 9:45 pm, Morrison Police arrested Nicholas A. Cross, 17, Morrison, for unlawful consumption of alcohol and parole violation. The arrest was the result of an investigation into a drinking incident involving Cross on the evening of 06/05/04. The parole violation was the result of an arrest warrant issued by the Illinois Department of Corrections. Cross was subsequently held in the Whiteside County Law Enforcement Center. Cross is considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

On 06/10/04, at approximately 11:10 am, Leann J. Wilkens, Morrison, reported that her cellular telephone was stolen from a table at The Place tavern some time the previous evening.

On 06/11/04, at approximately 7:51 am, the owner of Fat Boys tavern reported that someone attempted to break into the tavern some time during the early morning hours.

On 06/11/04, at approximately 7:53 am, Morrison Police investigated a single car accident at the intersection of Lincolnway and North Genesee Street. A car driven by Jason D. Thomas, 32, Morrison, was eastbound on Lincolnway when Thomas reportedly fell asleep. The Thomas vehicle struck a utility pole. Thomas received minor injuries but declined treatment at the scene. The Thomas vehicle was a total loss. The utility pole received minor damage. Thomas was cited for improper lane usage. Thomas is considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
