Jennifer's Dance Recital

Jennifer’s Dance Center presented two showings of “True Colors” on Saturday, May 15 in the Morrison High School auditorium. A matinee at 1 p.m. was followed by a 7 p.m. production. The presentation consisted of tap, clogging, ballet, Irish Steps, jazz, modern and lyrical.

Tyler Smith who is a former student of Jennifer gave a special appearance. He is now a student at Southern Illinois University in Edwardsville. Tyler performed his own choreographed number entitled What A Change. This piece was also performed by Tyler for Southern’s student recital and has been chosen to be performed in the fall show.

Jennifer’s Competition Team competed at Governor State University, Park Forest in the Headliners Dance Competition on April 3. They received a gold award for clogging with Ready to Go; gold award and the special award Feet of Flames with their Irish steps performance of Feet of Flames. The Feet of Flames award is an award given for precision. They also received a silver award for their modern jazz dance of Hungry Like the Wolf and 5th place overall for the day. Jennifer’s Dance Center, owned by Cory and Jennifer Bielema, will be moving to 123 W. Main Street, above Fusion Fitness. Contact the studio for class info.
