Cattlemen give Beef Backers Award

“Where’s the Beef?” At Northside Country Inn according to the Whiteside County Cattlemen’s Association. On Tuesday, May 11, 2004, the Cattlemen presented Donna Geerts, owner of Northside Country Inn, with their 2004 Beef Backers Award.

Each year they give the award to a restaurant that promotes beef. Northside has a slow roasted prime rib special every Saturday night in addition to their regular beef menu of steaks and burgers. On Tuesday night Geerts goes through pounds of ground beef for their beef taco special.

The Association gave Geerts an engraved plaque to honor the occasion.
