Morrison Police charged Cheryl D. Mills, 46, Morrison, with one count of aggravated battery. Mills was charged after an investigation of a fight, responded to by the Police Department and Whiteside County Sheriff’s Office, at The Place tavern on 4/18/04, at approximately 1:02 am. Mills was subsequently incarcerated in the Whiteside County Law Enforcement Center pending a hearing before a judge. Mills is considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

At approximately 2:15 am, Morrison Police investigated a motorist report of a vehicle driving erratically on U.S. Route #30. After stopping the suspected vehicle on Route #30 near Garden Plain Road, officers arrested Timothy Clark, 20, Fulton, with driving while under the influence of an alcoholic beverage, illegal transportation of alcohol, and improper lane usage. Police also charged two passengers, Tyler R. Rolley, East Moline, 23, with illegal transportation of alcohol and unlawful delivery of an alcoholic beverage to a minor, and Matthew C. Kramer, 20, Fulton, with unlawful consumption of alcohol. All three were subsequently released on notices to appear in court. Clark, Rolley, and Kramer are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

At Approximately 8:36 am, Elizabeth M. Burge, 31, Morrison, reported that a watch was taken from her unlocked vehicle some time the previous night. The theft occurred while the Burge vehicle was parked in the 500 block of West Park Street.

At approximately 3:23 pm, Vicki Blair (no age reported), Morrison, reported that some change had taken from her unlocked vehicle some time the previous night. The theft occurred while the Blair vehicle was parked in the 300 block of South Hall Street.
4/25/04
At approximately 2:35 pm, Morrison Police investigated a two-vehicle accident just east of the intersection of North Jackson Street and East Lincolnway. A car driven by Isaias Rodriguez, 50, Sterling, was turning into Casey’s General Store when the Isaias car was struck from behind by a sport utility vehicle driven by Robin K. Hachey, 48, Hiawatha, Iowa. Rodriguez received minor injuries but declined treatment at the scene. Total damage to both vehicles exceeded $500. Hachey was charged with failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident. Hachey is considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
