Phone scam in the area

Beware of counterfeit phone calls in the area pretending to be phone company employees. The person identifies themselves as working for the phone company and explains they are “running a test”. They ask if they are calling your phone number and you are told to press 90#. They want to use your line for long distance calls. This is a scam, do not give out any information or comply with their requests.
