At approximately 12:05 pm, Morrison Police investigated a hit and run accident in the 200 block of West Main Street. A car owned by Carol G. Schipper, Morrison, was struck by an unknown vehicle while it was parked in a parking stall.

At approximately 11:27 am, Morrison Police investigated a hit and run accident in the 500 block of West Wall Street. A car owned by Jill Schroeder, Morrison, was parked along Wall Street when it was struck by an unknown vehicle.
The Morrison Police Department is requesting the assistance of anyone who may have witnessed these two hit and run accidents.

At approximately 11:53 am, Morrison Police investigated a car-motorcycle accident at the intersection of Cherry Street and East Lincolnway. A motorcycle driven by Dennis R. Frank, 54, Morrison, was stopped at the intersection to make a right turn, when a pick-up driven by Lawrence J. Gorzney, 66, Morrison, struck the rear of the Frank motorcycle. Frank received minor injuries but declined treatment at the scene. Total damage to both vehicles exceeded $500. Gorzney was cited for following too closely. Gorzney is considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

At approximately 4:39 am, Morrison Police charged a 16-year-old juvenile with unlawful consumption of an alcoholic beverage. The arrest was made after police were called to 104 South Clinton Street in response to an intoxicated subject at the residence. The juvenile was subsequently transported to the Whiteside County Law Enforcement Center where he was released to the custody of a parent. The case has bee referred to the Whiteside County State’s Attorney’s Office and Whiteside County Juvenile Court Services for adjudication. The juvenile is considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

At approximately 9:00 am, Morrison Police charged Anthony E.V. Fletcher, 22, Morrison, with disorderly conduct. The charge was the result of an investigation into an accident that occurred the previous evening in which Fletcher allegedly grabbed a 14-year-old juvenile during a verbal dispute at the intersection of Madison and Main Streets. Fletcher was subsequently released on a notice to appear in court. Fletcher is considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

At approximately 12:04 pm, Roger J. Decker, Morrison, reported that his 1988 Toyota pick-up was stolen from in front of his residence on Cedar Street. The theft occurred some time the previous night.

At approximately 11:49 pm, Morrison Police charged Amanda Richter, 19, and Kurtis J. Richard, 20, with one count, each, of unlawful consumption of an alcoholic beverage. Richter and Richard are both from Dixon, Illinois. The two were charged after they were stopped for speeding in the 700 block of West Lincolnway. Richter and Richard were subsequently released on notices to appear in court. Richter and Richard are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
