Morrison Police Report

On 4/01/04, at approximately 5:10 pm, Morrison Police arrested Timothy B. Hebron, 25, with theft from a vending machine (under $300) and unlawful possession of vending machine keys. The charges were brought against Hebron after a three-month investigation into the theft of cash from vending machines in the break room at Climco Coils, 222 West Main Street. Hebron was subsequently released on a notice to appear in court. Hebron is considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Morrison Policer were assisted in the investigation by Illinois State Police, Division of Technical Services.

On 4/02/04, at approximately 2:11 pm, Morrison Police charged a 15-year-old juvenile with unlawful possession of cannabis (less than 2.5 grams) and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. The juvenile, a student at Morrison Community High School, was charged after a member of the high school staff recovered marijuana and smoking pipes while the juvenile was in school. The case has been referred to the Whiteside County State’s Attorney and Whiteside County Juvenile Court Services for adjudication. The juvenile is considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

On 4/03/04, at approximately 1:14 pm, Morrison Police investigated a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of West Lincolnway and Lincolnway Court. A car driven by Jessica M.J. Reistroffer, 19, Bellevue, Iowa was stopped to make a left turn onto Lincolnway Court, when the Reistroffer car was struck in the rear-end by a pick-up driven by Danial J. Elliot, 37, Morrison. A seven-year-old child riding in the Reistroffer vehicle was injured in the accident and was subsequently transported to Morrison Community Hospital by Morrison Ambulance where he was treated and released. The total damage to both vehicles exceeded $500. Elliot was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident. Elliot is considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Morrison Police were assisted at the scene by the Whiteside County Sheriff’s Office.
