Seven youths charged

Morrison Police were called to the residence of Jeff Young, 1702 Ridgewood Drive, Morrison, on March 13, 2004, at approximately 10:55 pm, in regard to an underage drinking party. Upon the arrival of the police, officers detained 19 individuals under the age of 21.

As a result of the ensuing investigation, five (5) adults and two (2) juveniles were charged with unlawful consumption of an alcoholic beverage. The following is a list of the adults charged as a result of the investigation.

William D. Freres, 18, Morrison
Adam T. Kophamer, 18, Morrison
Brian T. Milnes, 19, Morrison
Candy R. Reick, 17, Morrison
Christopher J. Thyne, 18, Morrison

All individuals charged were released to the custody of a parent. Those facing adult charges were subsequently issued a notice to appear in court. The two juvenile cases were referred to the Whiteside County State’s Attorney’s Office for disposition. All individuals charged are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

The Whiteside County Sheriff’s Office and the Illinois State Police assisted Morrison Police at the scene.
