Galway Chamber allows me to use Internet!

Good Morning from the beautiful seaside city of Galway on the Western coast of Ireland! After a superb ride on the Irish Railway from Dublin to Galway yesterday we have been treated to the crisp and sunny sights and sounds of this great little city.

The Internet access in Galway is still finding its way, however the nice folks at the Galway Chamber of Commerce and Mave allowed me use of her computer for just a moment. For my friends and fellow Morrison Chamber of Commerce members you will be pleased to know that the Galway Chamber of Commerce is as busy as we are with various business initiatives and local events. They are planning their annual St Patrick's Day parade at this moment.

The train ride from Dublin was fantastic as we witnessed so many small farms, each surrounded by fences made of the thickest briar thickets or as we came further West we saw more fences erected with stone. Something you cannot understand until you arrive is the number of sheep, it's as if they drop from the sky like so many raindrops. This is evidently the time of year for the new lambs as many newborn were seen to be romping the pastures as their mothers looked approvingly on. The people have continued to be warm and friendly and today we rent our car and Bob tries first hand the intricacies of those interesting intersections called 'roundabouts'! We will be travelling to The Burren, an area of bare stone and The Cliffs of Moher where the precipices are better than a 600 foot drop to the Atlantic. Thank you again to Mave for use of her PC and I wish her Chamber well. Next stop for us is Kilkenny and Doreena Allen's cooking school. See you then!
