Stralow breaks Three-Point Showdown Record

Former Morrison student, Megan Stralow, not only won the Country Companies Three-Point Showdown at the Class A Girls State Tournament in Normal but she beat the State Record with 13 of 15 shots.

On Thursday in the preliminary round, the Prophetstown high school student connected 11 of 15 shots, to tie for first place, and move up to be one of the final four from the 64 original competitors.

Stralow shot last in the finals and hit five in a row from her first position. She continued to blow away the competition and the State Record by only missing one shot in each of the remaining positions. She returns to Normal on Saturday night to compete against the Class AA winner.

Amanda Smith of Morrison shot 8 of 15 in the preliminary round.
