Restoring the brick street

West Main Street revealed

Everyone is commenting on the removal of blacktop on West Main Street this week. According to Joe Woith, City Administrator, Main Street was in poor shape and the City Council has decided to take up the blacktop to see what shape the brick is in underneath. If everything looks good they will leave the original brick.

City employees are popping it up with skid loader forks and the first block was “in pretty good shape,” according to Woith. Morrison Blacktop used a broom on their skid loader to clean up the crumbs.
