Scholarship opportunities - College visits

Seniors and their parents may log on to morrisonschools.org to find local scholarship opportunities at the high school and counselor's corner links. Many of these scholarships are due March 18th. Students should read the applications carefully and be sure they are complete. There are more scholarships available in the scholarship binder.

Students should see me in the guidance office to reserve the binder overnight or for a weekend. Students are also encouraged to contact college financial aid offices where they have been accepted and inquire about the scholarships they have available.

Students may sign up in the guidance office to visit with the following college representatives who will be visiting Morrison High School in March: Western Illinois University, Robert Morris College, Clinton Community College, Lincoln College, and Northern Illinois University.

Juniors are encouraged to make appointments to tour college campuses on Monday March 1st which is a "no school" day for Morrison High School students. Deadlines for early application will be November 15th and December 1st for some colleges.

Juniors can practice their math skills on-line in preparation for the April ACT/PSAE exam. See me for a brochure and the web address.

National Honor Society induction will be held Tuesday March 23rd at 7:00 at the high school.
