Three arrested for illegal consumption of alcoholic beverage

On 1/24/04 at approximately 1:50 am, Morrison Police charged two adult and one juvenile with illegal consumption of an alcoholic beverage. The individuals were arrested near the intersection of Genesee and Market Streets after a traffic stop.

Officers charged Andrea R. Given, 17, Stevie D. Carney, 19, and a 16-year old juvenile from Wilton, Iowa, with one count each of illegal consumption of an alcoholic beverage. Carney was also charged with driving while license suspended. Carney and Given were subsequently transported to the Whiteside County Law Enforcement Center where they were released on a notice to appear in court. The juvenile was released to the custody of a parent. Carney, Given, and the juvenile are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
