Fusion Fitness for Women

Fusion Fitness for Women is moving into Suz Video on Main Street. Come back next week for interior photos of the machines.

A fitness facility is something Morrison definitely needs. There are very few exercise options here without getting wet or needing a large amount of time. Karla Green of Morrison is opening “just what the doctor ordered”. Her new exercise place, Fusion Fitness for Women, uses PACE (Programmed Accommodating Circuit Exercise).

PACE combines a strength workout with a cardiovascular workout. Sixteen women can exercise at one time. There will be eight hydraulic resistance machines with a total of sixteen stations. The extra eight stations will be steps and blocks to regulate heart rates. Members will spend 30 seconds at each station and will rotate about three times in 30 minutes. A complete workout will be accomplished in that time.

A four-bed tanning salon will continue in the upstairs room. Green is waiting for her license to open the tanning beds. The cost of tanning will be $35 for 300 minutes.

The carpet will be laid this week and the equipment is scheduled for next week. After all the equipment is in place Green will start taking appointments for paperwork, measurements, weigh-ins, and machine demonstrations.

The target opening date is expected to be February 9. The cost will be $35 per month with the addition of a one-time setup fee of $50. Teen daughters can share the set-up fee if they come with their mothers and their monthly cost will be an additional $15.

Green hopes to expand by purchasing treadmills and bikes to enhance fitness. She can also add more stations at any time.

Hours will be set after the initial interviews to see when the most popular times to exercise will be.

Fusion Fitness for Women will be at 123 West Main Street (the former Suz Video).
