Local toddler needs our prayers

Eight and half month old Alethea McIlrath had a cold last week and went in for a routine doctor’s exam. Blood work was done and a tentative diagnosis of leukemia was made. They immediately admitted her to St. Francis Hospital in Peoria, Illinois. From there she was sent to St. Jude's Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. St. Jude’s is one of the top hospitals in the country for children with cancer.

Tuesday Alethea was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. She is the daughter of Jeff and Heather McIlrath. Jeff is the minister of Emmanuel Reformed Church in Morrison.
