Heritage Canyon Hosts Winter Tea |
|
| Heritage Canyon is offering the second in a series of interesting, informative and fun “Teas”. This one to be held on January 24th, at 1pm. in the lower level of the Wierenga House at the Canyon, 515, North 4th Street, Fulton, Illinois. The program is entitled “Upstairs Maid, Downstairs Maid, Milk Maid and the Scullery”. Did you know that Milk Maids were not allowed to gossip? And whom would they gossip to anyway? This and other interesting facts will be presented in this humorous, flashback look into the life of servants in the past. Gentlemen and Ladies alike will enjoy not only the presentation but also the delicious and generous repast. Foods will include hot drinks, cold punch, scones, cookies, crumpets, fancy deserts and other finger foods, served by the uniquely attired Early American Crafters. The décor will be…interesting. As usual, there will be lots of fun and laughter. There is a suggested $10 donation for the Tea, payable at the door, but seating is limited so be sure to call Heritage Canyon at 815-589-2838 to make reservations. Leave a message with your name, number of guests and a phone number and we will include you on our list. by Editor, theCity1.com |
