Police Report: Stolen stereo & DUI arrest

At approximately 8:50 am, Gary L. Pruis, Morrison, reported that stereo equipment was stolen from his car some time between the evening of December 24 and the evening of December 25, 2003. The theft occurred while the Pruis vehicle was parked in the parking lot of Autotech at the intersection of Bishop Road and U.S. 30.

At approximately 12:21 am, Morrison Police arrested Nelson T. Grismore II, 18, Morrison for driving under the influence of an intoxicating beverage (DUI). Grismore was arrested at the intersection of U.S. 30 and Feldman Road after being stopped for speeding, 31 miles per hour over the limit, in the 400 block of East Lincolnway. Grismore was subsequently transported to the Whiteside County Law Enforcement Center where he was held in lieu of $120 cash bond. Grismore is considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
