Young Mustangs Overpower Freshman Warriors

Morrison journeyed to Sterling on December 17 to challenge a quick Golden Warrior freshman team in their last contest of 2003.

Although the Yearlings trailed only once, it took a late 11-0 run in the last stanza for them to put the Warriors away for good. A much bigger Morrison was able to pound the lane and convert on several fast break opportunities, while giving up only 10 turnovers on Sterling's trapping pressure. Defensive adjustments and balanced execution were responsible for the 56-44 victory. Morrison, now 3-1, will enjoy a long break until they resume play against Eastland on January 3.
