Sophomore Fillies beat Riverdale

The Sophomores Fillies beat Riverdale Tuesday in a close game through three quarters.

The Fillies started with Jodi Medendorp making her first three from the field. Katie Tenboer was able to put in two to give the Fillies a five point lead at the end of the first. The second quarter belonged to Riverdale by out scoring the Fillies ten to eight. The Fillies shot 30% for the first half which was enough take the lead.

In the third the girls only shot 13% with Tenboer, Heather Anderson and Aimee Kyarsgaard making one. Riverdale was able to catch up bringing the score within one. The fourth was all Morrison. Kyarsgaard went three for three, pulled in four rebounds and had two steals. Medendorp had three more, Tenboer and Anderson also scored. The Fillies shot 57% in the fourth to take the lead and the win.

Medendorp recorded her first double for the season with sixteen points, twelve rebounds, one assist, and two steals and went 2-5 from the line. Katie Tenboer had eight, ten rebounds, two assist, and two steals and was 0-1. Heather Anderson had eight, three rebounds, two assist, and three steals and was a perfect 4-4. Aimee Kyarsgaard had eight, five rebounds, one assist and two steals. Erica Sanchez had one rebound and one steal. Kelly Tenboer had four rebounds and two steals.
