Fall Area Playoffs

Congratulations go out to area teams still playing in this fall season. Even though most of the Morrison players are looking toward winter sports some the surrounding communities are continuing to play.

The Newman Comets Football traveled to El Paso to continue their 2A advance by shutting out El Paso 35-0. On Friday, Newman will host (Gilman) Iroquois West.

The Amboy Clippers ended the Eastland-Pearl City Wildcats’ advancement in 3A playoffs by a score of 28-20 in Amboy. They move on to quarterfinals play in Stillman Valley next week.

Fulton Steamers Volleyball won their Super-Sectional match with (Sciota) West Prairie, when they played in Abdington Saturday. The scores were 25-15, 11-25, 25-23. The Steamers move on to state finals play against Eastland at Illinois State University on Friday at 8:30 am.
