Fall Extravanganza

Hundreds of parents and athletes showed up Friday night for Morrison Athletic Boosters Fall Extravaganza. Formerly known as Meet the Players, athletes from the newly formed 5th grade Jr. Tackle through Varsity fall sports paraded in front of the grandstand as they were introduced.

The boosters cooked up pork chops, chicken breasts, and other grilled favorites as a fund raiser and the convenience of parents. Fortunately the weather cooled enough to make sitting in the sun comfortable but the evening sunset made it hard to see players.

Teams were well represented and are all ready to start their seasons. Junior Tackle began their season at home on Saturday. Varsity football has an away game Friday night. Check the Sports Schedule to support your favorite team and see photos of teams.

The evening started out with an exhibition practice between Varsity and Jr. Varsity football teams. After the game and introduction of players, parents and students socialized and visited the Athletic Boosters clothing sales, Pons New York Fundraiser, and Football Fundraiser booths. A DJ played music for students in the parking lot later in the evening.
