At approximately 10:20 am, Rhonda J. Meiners, Sterling, reported that her pick-up truck had been struck by another vehicle some time during the evening of December 20. The hit and run occurred while the Meiners vehicle was parked in the 200 block of East Main Street. Meiners’ truck received in excess of $500 damage.

At approximately 10:35 am, a representative of Morrison Historic Preservation Committee reported that a sign had been taken from the yard of an historic building at 414 West Lincolnway. The sign, valued at approximately $200, was taken some time during the past several weeks.

At approximately 9:40 am, a representative of Northside Country Inn reported that a Rotary Club sign and several letters from a marquee were taken some time during the previous weekend.

Morrison Police charged David A. DeCock, 40, Morrison, with one count of theft by lessee, less that $500. DeCock was charged following an investigation into the failure to return a carpet cleaner at Sullivan Foods on November 26. DeCock was issued a notice to appear in court. DeCock is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
