Enjoying Morrison during Christmas

Have you taken a drive around Morrison after the sun goes down this past 2 weeks or so? If you can't get out or you are one of our visitors from afar you can keep up with the beautiful home decorating with Barb Benson's series of pictures and if you are lucky to be here then please take the time to view these wonderfully decorated homes.

Not so many years ago our community seemed to have only areas of well decorated homes and now it seems most blocks have several homes lit with the season.You can start your journey downtown where the lightpoles are all wrapped in the holiday lighting and each one topped with that ever present single globe ornament.I can only imagine how uninspired our downtown would still look had those new lightpoles not been installed two years ago.

Keep driving in ever larger circles away from the downtown and you can enjoy the lights during your very own "roadshow".Makes this writer wonder why the new covered bridge doesn't have it's own special holiday lighting scheme but that is a thought for another article. So this Chistmss season take a drive thru your town and enjoy the hard work of the homeowners, the city and businesses making the night a little more brighter.We here at Thecity1.com wish each of our viewers here in Morrison and all of our friends around the globe who watch us regularly a very safe, peaceful and happy holiday.
