Something for Nothing!

How would you like to help the kids in the Morrison schools WITHOUT having to buy anything extra? Do you eat cereal? Do you use refrigerated dough and box baking mixes? If so, you can help the Morrison Schools by saving your trash, or at least a small piece of it!

General Mills has a program that returns money to the schools when you use their products. It’s very simple. First, check the box top of your favorite products. Many of them have a little pink symbol that says “Box Tops for Education”. Clip them out and drop them in a local collection box. Each of these is worth $.10 to our schools. It’s that simple! Collection boxes can be found at the schools and many local businesses. The collection boxes are clearly marked “Box Tops for Education”. School children will be clipping and mailing these to General Mills. Schools can earn up to $20,000.00 per year from these little box tops.

For you online shoppers, there is another way to help Morrison Schools. Go to the web site www.boxtops4education.com and join the Box Tops Booster Club. Start every online shopping trip through links found in the the Box Tops Marketplace. Over 175 of your favorite stores like LL Bean, JCPenney, and Lands’ End can be found there. Our schools will receive up to 10% of your qualifying purchases!

During the 2002-2003 school year, Southside School earned $500.50 from this program. With community help, we can do much better this year, so everyone start clipping and shopping!
