World History Inventions Project |
|
|
For the last fourteen years Tim Shurman, Morrison’s Junior High 7th grade World History teacher, has been doing a project for his Industrial Revolution unit. Students must pick an invention from 1700 – 1920. They must research the invention and its impact on modern life. Then they must make a replica of the invention. “The kids enjoy it,” according to Sherman. The projects that are a higher quality or meet the standards are displayed in the Junior High Library. Over half the projects are displayed there. Projects include telephones, a hot air balloon, trains, and much more. To see photos of the projects visit our Photo Album. by Barb Benson, theCity1.com |
