Morrison School Board Nov. 18

Before the Strategic Planning Committee Meeting Tuesday, November 18, the Morrison Unit #6 board met. School Superintendent, Dr. Jody Ware, announced a $1000 donation by local manufacturer, Climco Coils Co., to the extra-curricular fund. In addition Morrison Athletic Boosters donated another $5000 at “Meet the Players” for a total donation of $15,000 of the $50,000 they volunteered to raise.

Dr. Ware introduced Rachel Fedyk, a Morrison Girls’ Swimmer, who is going to State in two events. “Having two students in golf and one in girls’ swimming is quite an accomplishment from a district that one year ago was at risk of loosing both those programs,” Dr. Ware announced.

In other business MJHS administrator Steve Wroble is having ankle surgery and Jim Blakemore will be filling in starting December 7.
