Morrison Police Report

On 11/11/03, at approximately 6:30 pm, Cherish A LaMarche, Morrison, reported that her purse had been taken from her car. The theft occurred some time the previous night while it was parked in a driveway at 402 South Heaton Street.

On 11/12/03, at approximately 8:59 am, Andrea Pfister, Morrison, reported that her purse had been taken from her car. The theft occurred some time during the evening of November 10 while the car was parked on Fairway Drive.

On 11/14/03, at approximately 6:52 am, Evan J. Mahoney, Morrison, reported that his bicycle had been stolen from the front yard of his residence on East South Street some time during the early morning hours of November 12.

On 11/14/03, Morrison Police charged Shannon P. Sisson, 40, Rock Falls, Illinois, with one (1) count of failure to provide child support in excess of $20,000. Sisson was charged after an investigation into a complaint by a Morrison resident regarding Sisson’s arrearage in support. Sisson is being held in Whiteside County Law Enforcement Center on this charge pending a hearing before a judge. Failure to provide child support in excess of $20,000 is a class 4 felony, punishable by one to three years in the Illinois Department of Corrections. Sisson is considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Assisting the Morrison Police Department in this investigation were Whiteside County Court Services and the Whiteside County State’s Attorney’s Office.

On 11/15/03, at approximately 12:45 am, Morrison Police cited Dane J. Roth, 17, Morrison, for driving without a valid driver’s license. Roth was cited after receiving a complaint of a suspicious vehicle in the area of Ridgewood Drive. Also cited was Matthew J. Young, 18, Morrison, for allowing an unauthorized person to operate a motor vehicle. Roth and Young were subsequently released on notices to appear in court. Roth and Young are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

On 11/15/03, at approximately 10:45 pm, Morrison Police arrested Tanner J. Williams, 20, and Christopher C. Meiers, 20, both of Morrison, for one count each of aggravated battery and unlawful consumption of an alcoholic beverage. Williams and Meiers were arrested after Police responded to a fight on the corner of Genesee and Main Streets in which the victim was struck, shoved to the ground, and kicked by William and Meiers. The victim received minor injuries in the fight but refused medical treatment. Williams and Meiers are being held in the Whiteside County Law Enforcement Center pending a court appearance. Aggravated battery is a class 3 felony punishable by 2 to 5 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections. Williams and Meiers are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
