Morrison Police Report

On 10/21/03, Morrison Police, after an extensive investigation, have charged a 16-year-old juvenile and a 13 year-old juvenile in connection with two burglaries that occurred in July.

The 16 year-old juvenile has been charged with burglaries to the dental office of William Simpson, DDS, on July 3 and the Morrison Day Care Center on July 6. The 13 year-old juvenile has been charged with his involvement in the burglary to Dr. Simpson’s office. Additionally, the 16 year-old has been charged with one count of burglary after being caught stealing liquor from Sullivan Foods on October 17.

The 13 year-old juvenile is currently incarcerated at the Illinois Department of Corrections, Juvenile Division, after admitting to his involvement in the burglary of the Northside Country Inn on July 8. The 16 year-old is in the custody of a parent pending adjudication

Both juvenile’s cases have been referred to the Whiteside County States Attorney’s Office and Whiteside County Juvenile Court Services for adjudication.
