Homecoming King and Queen Crowned

King Tom Drosopoulos and Queen Leanne Smith after being crowned Thursday night.

Tom Drosopoulos and Leanne Smith were crowned King and Queen at the 2003 Homecoming Thuse as the senior court looked on. Members of the senior court are Dan Brewer, Kelsey Dykema, Megan Goodenough, Joe Mills, Kelly Nelson, Jed Renkes, Ann Schaefer, and Matt Ward.

Underclassmen attendants were Chris Scott (Freshman), Abby Vock (Freshman), Austin Rickels (Sophomore), Samantha Stoecker (Sophomore), Mike Britt (Junior), and Brianna Mills (Junior).

Festivities began Thursday night at Thuse with a powder puff football game. Senior/Freshman outscored the Sophomore/Junior team to win the game. Then the class games began. The seniors won again in ski walking, the egg carry, three-legged race, and human wheel barrel. Will Freres won the pie eating contest as the students crowded around to watch. The last two event, human pyramid and tug of war, were also won by the seniors.

The cheerleaders entertained the crowd with cheers and dance, but the crowd cheered the loudest for the Senior Mom Pom Pons. The eighteen moms danced to Aeromith and Aretha Franklin as the crowd cheered them on. Then the real Pom Pon Squad took the field and really wowed the crowd with their routine.

The night ended with the burning of the outhouse. Fortunately the weather forecasters were wrong and the rain held off for a beautiful night.
