Police Report

On 9/10/03, at approximately 4:00 pm, Bill Urban, Morrison, reported his son’s bicycle had been stolen from the Junior High School the previous night.

On 9/12/03, at approximately 7:40 pm, Morrison Police charged a fourteen-year-old juvenile with one count of aggravated battery. The juvenile was charged after an investigation into an earlier incident in which the fourteen-year-old juvenile battered a nine-year-old juvenile on the grounds of the Junior High School. The fourteen-year-old juvenile was released to the custody of his parents. The case has been referred to Whiteside County Juvenile Court Services for adjudication.

On 9/13/03, at approximately 1:00 pm, Lawrence Proud, Morrison, reported that his brother’s bicycle had been stolen from their yard in the 100 block of South Orange Street. The theft is believed to have occurred some time the previous night.

On 9/14/03, at approximately 6:43 pm, Shane Osborn, Morrison, reported that a pair of trailer ramps, valued at $75.00, was stolen from trailer parked in Municipal Lot #2 on East Wall Street. The ramps were stolen some time during the morning hours.

On 9/16/03, at approximately 11:30 am, Morrison Police investigated the burglaries of Dollar General and Movie Magic on East Lincolnway. Both businesses are housed in the same building. Unknown subject or subjects entered the building through an air conditioning duct. The subjects took pseudophedrine from Dollar General. The subjects then entered Movie Magic through an adjoining wall and took video games and a small amount of cash. The burglary is believed to have occurred some time the previous night. Morrison Police were assisted at the scene by Illinois State Police, Division of Crime Scene Services.
