| This weekend you might see a few extra tractors traveling through Whiteside County. Blue Goose Run is having an Antique “Tractorcade” and show. At least fifteen tractors will depart Fulton Marina at 8:00 am Saturday September 20.
They will travel to Harbor Crest Nursing Home for a 30-minute stay then to Morrison Rockwood State Park for coffee and donuts. After making a couple brief stops at Resthave and Pleasant View Nursing Homes in Morrison the tractors will arrive at Blue Goose Run for lunch.
The tractors are taking pledges for their 20 miles trips and all the money raised will go to the Whiteside County 4-H Clubs. From 2-6 pm there will be a “Tractor Show” at Blue Goose while the “Whistle Pig” blue grass band plays in the tent. Running along with the tractor show is a craft show with quilters, wood workers, and seasonal crafts.
The festivities continue in the evening with “Rock Holiday” band playing in the Corn Crib from 8:30-12:30.
Sunday Blue Goose will be serving their first Champaign Brunch from 11 to 2 and the tractor show will continue from 9-4. “The Dirty Dragon” corn maze will also be open all weekend. Blue grass music will start again at 1:00 with music by “Border Crossing” and tractor games with prizes. The final tractor parade will be at 3:00 pm.
