Craft Classes

Do you like to do crafts? Want to learn something new? Craft Classes are beginning Tuesday evenings at Morrison United Methodist Church. Why would a church be giving craft classes? All items made in the classes will be donated to the Church’s Bazarre. “It’s a great way to meet people and do something good at the same time,” Chairperson Charla Olson said.

Painting on glass and pillows are some of the crafts being taught. The items to be made will be on display the Sunday before at the Church. Teachers are also needed, so if you know how to make a craft contact Charla.

This year’s craft show will be totally different from years past. Charla Olson has chairpersons with committees working hard in several different areas for the bazarre. She has woodworkers, crafters, and bakers all making items to sell. Over 100 pies have already been made along with jars of salsa and homemade jellies. She gets the ideas and hands it over to one of her chairpersons, and then she goes out and finds everything they need to make it.

“Some people like to work at home, others like to work in a group like this. Everything is donated,” according to Charla. “I send a clipboard around church on Sunday with the items I need and it’s always full when I get it back. If it can’t be donated we don’t do it.” The bazarre will be Saturday, November 22. For more information or if you have something to donate, call Charla at 772-4223
