15 year-old Detained for Theft of Pick-up

On 08/29/03, at approximately 4:39 p.m., Morrison Police arrested a 15 year-old juvenile on charges of theft over $300 and no valid driver’s license. The charges followed the stop of the juvenile offender at the intersection on Genesee and Main Streets while the juvenile offender was driving a pick-up stolen in Sterling, Illinois.

A 14 year-old passenger in the vehicle was released to the custody of her mother. The juvenile offender was subsequently detained at the Mary Davis Juvenile Detention Facility in Galesburg, Illinois, pending a hearing in juvenile court on Tuesday, September 02. Assisting the Morrison Police Department in this incident were members of the Whiteside County Sheriff’s Office and Whiteside County Juvenile Court Services.
