Two Arrests Made in Morrison |

| Morrison Police Report On 08/26/03, at approximately 9:28 p.m., Morrison Police charged Markus S. Simpson, 25, Morrison, with one count of aggravated battery at 515 East Knox Street in which Simpson threw blood from a wound at a Morrison police officer and a deputy from the Whiteside County Sheriff’s Office. Simpson was subsequently detained at the Whiteside County Law Enforcement Center pending an appearance before a judge. Simpson is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. On 08/28/03, at approximately 4:30 p.m., Morrison Police arrested Johnny V. Gaffey, 31, Morrison, on a Whiteside County arrest warrant charging Gaffey with failure to pay or appear on a previous charge of possession of controlled substance. Gaffey was subsequently transported to the Whiteside County Law Enforcement Center in lieu of $500 cash bond.
