Pom Pons go to New York |
|
| Every year Morrison Pom Pon girls raise money to go to New York City to perform at the Macy’s Day Parade. This year is no different. Four very talented senior girls have been invited to the parade. But this year is different because they have been specially invited to dance with Mike Miller’s IDTA Elite Dancers. The reason they were invited is because they are multiple State Champions. So in order to go they need to raise $8000. They’ve had several fundraisers including a car wash and rummage sale. They also choreographed a routine for the Erie Pom Pon squad. Their biggest fundraiser is a raffle. Tickets are 1 for $3 or 2 for $5 for a chance to win $500 first prize, $200 second and third prizes, and $50 fourth and fifth prizes. The winning ticket will be chosen at the first home game September 5. Raffle tickets are available at the fair or any Morrison Senior Dance Team member. Members of the team are Aimee Wagenecht, Amy Drehmer, Megan Goodenough, and Britta Bartels. by Barb Benson, theCity1.com |
