Wednesday, June 25, 2003, Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich visited the Morrison, Rock Falls, and Sterling area. He stopped for a quick lunch at the Friendship House Restaurant in Rock Falls where he visited with various people including a group from the Highway 30 Bypass Coalition.

The governor was traveling with his wife and children including their new baby girl. Later in the day Governor Blagojevich was to present a financial award at Sauk Valley Community College in Sterling. Approximately 80 people were at the restaurant and enjoyed talking with the Governor and having their pictures taken with him.
