Morrison Boil Water Immediately

For precautionary measures only, please be advised that as of 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, the City of Morrison has issued a Boil Order to include all residents of the City of Morrison. Residents are advised to boil all water used for drinking and cooking for at least five minutes before consuming it, until further notice. The boil order will be in effect until water samples show that the water is safe.

This Boil Order is given as a precaution only. The is no evidence the water is unsafe.

The Boil Order was declared due to a manufacturer on the southwest portion of the City of Morrison, who was flow-testing their water supply to their booster pumps. The water pressure levels dropped below recommended levels, thus creating the need to declare the Boil Order. The manufacturer failed to notify the City of their intentions.

Tune in to the City of Morrison Public Access Channel 18 or www.morrisonil.org for information when the Boil Order has been lifted.
