Shirley M. Blumhoff, age 87, of Lyndon, IL, died Sunday, January 25, 2015, at Mercy Medical Center in Clinton, IA.
Shirley was born February 2, 1927, in Prophetstown, IL, the daughter of Lyell and Belva (Arnett) Fisk. She worked at General Electric in Morrison, IL, for many years. Shirley married James Blumhoff on January 21, 1948, in Morrison. He preceded her in death in July 26, 2003. She was a member of the late Lyndon United Methodist Church in Lyndon.
Survivors include four sons, Larey (Linda) Blumhoff of Morrison, Rick (Tina Wagner) Blumhoff of Lyndon, Jim (Jan) Blumhoff of Bridgeport, OH, and Randy (Socorro) Blumhoff of San Antonio, TX; one sister, Donna (John) Morse of Lyndon; one brother Don Fisk of Sterling, IL; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and one son, Marty.
A gathering of family and friends will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Saturday, February 7, 2015, at McDonald Funeral Home, 46 Grove Street, in Prophetstown, IL.
Memorial service will follow at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, February 7, 2015, at the funeral home, with Reverend Cheri Stewart from Prophetstown United Methodist Church officiating.
