Shirley A. Domack, 80, of Morrison, IL, went to the Lord peacefully the evening of Monday, November 7, 2016.
Shirley was born March 2, 1936, the youngest daughter of the late Raymond and Amanda (Larson) Tollard in Ladysmith, WI. The Tollard family moved to Oshkosh, WI, where Shirley met and married Stanley J. Domack, Jr. They moved to Morrison and started their family. Together they raised four children, were married 61 years as of 2016, and were Oshkosh High School sweethearts.
Shirley worked as the manager of the General Electric Cafeteria for Vend-Omack Sales for 25 years, eventually retiring to enjoy her hobbies. She loved to collect antiques of all kinds, attending estate auctions in the area, fishing with Stanley, reading from her collections of old books, traveling to see her sisters and their families in Wisconsin. She loved exotic Hawaiian protea flowers and orchids after vacationing in Hawaii. Most of all, Shirley loved being a mom. She was an amazing mom, nana, and great-grandma. The bright smile on her face showed the love and joy she had in her heart for her family and everyone around her.
Unfortunately, her smiles became less and less, as the progressive disease of Alzheimer’s slowly stole her from those she loved. Please pray that a cure is found someday soon, so other families do not have to helplessly watch their loved ones slip farther and farther away.
Shirley is survived by her husband, Stanley; son, Christopher (Marcia) Domack of Carrollton, VA; daughters, Roxanne (James) Finneran of Morrison, Sharon (Mark) Hawkins of Oregon, IL, and Stephanie (Mark) Stichter of Morrison; grandchildren, Erin (David) Thomas of Nashville, TN, Martin (Angie Toscano) Domack of White Hall, MD, Megan Finneran of Kansas City, MO, Lane Hawkins of Oregon, IL, Shannon Finneran of Kansas City, Alan (Kasey) Domack of Citrus Springs, FL, Mitchell Stichter of Glen Carbon, IL, and Kaitlyn Finneran (Nicole Randel) of Des Moines, IA; great-grandchildren, Autumn and Aiden Thomas of Nashville, TN; brothers-in-law, Robert (Christine) Kropp and Robert (Kitty) Miller; sisters-in-law Rennett MacIntyre, Walnut Creek, CA, Marci (Eldon) Entwhistle, Princeton, IL, Rosemary (Dr. Bruce) McLeod, River Forest, IL. Shirley is survived by many nieces and nephews and extended family members who reside in Wisconsin and throughout the Country.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Amanda Tollard; her most-beloved sisters, Christine “Tina” Kropp, Arlene Carrick, Charlotte “Kitty” Miller, and Bethel Reinke; her in-laws, Stanley and Helen Domack, Sr.
